One of the primary advantages is that there is minimal impact on the body. Unlike training on the road or even on an oval, training in the sand is kind on your joints whilst making them stronger!
It has been said sand training requires an extra 1.6 times energy than solid surface running! Meaning, for the same amount of “work,” you will be burning many more calories overall! Bonus!
